The Chesapeake Bay Retriever developed in the United States. It's thick double coat ranges in color from brown to a dead grass color. Chesapeake Retrievers have webbed feet, water repellant double coats that allow them to be an excellent hunter and endurance retriever. They are able to retrieve birds from the iciest of waters.
