The Siberian Husky (orginiated in Siberia) was first brough to Alaska in 1909 and soon became a consistent winner in sled dog races. The Husky was orginally developed as a sled, guard and companion dog. It has a soft, dense coat, erect ears and an average weight of 35-60 pounds.
